Stepping-out of his comfort zone, Richard Hawkins embraced the larger-than-life mouthpieces that are currently popular among many European Artists. For a big robust sound that is easy to articulate, a proprietary hard-rod rubber was selected for its ability to hold all dynamics with clarity and control, but without the edge that is common in so many large-facing designs.
